Well if they just said "employed" they're not exactly wrong.

at least they lived up to their name

But they are very likely violating the accreditation standards.

How so?

Incomplete and misleading: http://www.americanbar.org/content/dam/ ... eckdam.pdf

"Any analysis or elaboration of the data that Standard 509 mandates must be placed in the same portion(s) of the school’s website as the mandated disclosures or with prominent links to them. Further, any analysis or elaboration of the data must come after the information that is published in the form and manner designated by the Council. Finally, the display of the analysis and elaboration of the data may not be more conspicuous or prominent than the display of the mandated disclosures."

Perhaps it meets all of these elements. It would surprise me, given that it's an email and given the quote provided above from the email.

I think it does meet those elements. Anywho, I agree it's shady and using all types of post grad employment in employment calculations needs to be stopped. That's why we have websites like LST.

Someone from this school keeps emailing me begging for my GPA so I can apply for acceptance this fall. Except:

1. I am going to be a senior this year.
2. I do not have a LSAC GPA yet (waiting to finish a summer class).

Is this unique to me or are they just mass emailing everyone?

Just ignore it. They got your info from LSAC's Candidate Referral Service and want to trick you into attending. It's probably going out to a bunch of people.

Okay thanks. I would never consider attending, but I wanted to make sure they weren't uniquely trying to harass me for my GPA.

Have you responded asking to be removed from the mailing list? If you've sent a polite "thanks but no thanks" type email and they keep bothering you, I think it's fair to tell them that their school is a scam and you'd never consider attending in a million years.

Eta: Damn. No. Looks like "Candace" has moved on. I guess I should too...

If the LST folks would keep us updated about any possible "things" coming out of this, it would be appreciated.

So far nothing. Nobody has emailed me a copy of it. Can't follow up without any evidence, unfortunately.
