From last year, per LST:

Emory grads working biglaw: 59
Emory grads working for Emory: 68

yes definitely take the time off and get that LSAT up, your GPA is very good.

Yea that's what I was thinking. Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what the median student at Emory should expect job wise?

23.3% school-funded rate (includes school-funded private sector jobs)
80.1% of incoming class got $
man they're pulling out the stops to game those rankings

under no circumstances should you take emory with $13k if you're debt financing
why do you have to wait two years?

Yup, not to mention Emory also took 75 transfers last year, obviously in order to maintain their entering class stats and to keep the $$$ rolling in.

How about deferring my admission then retaking? I can sort of hedge my bet because of the two year gap. Is this even possible? Or considered "unethical"?

they do a one year deferment
but don't commit to attending if you think you're not going to go
you can improve on your 158
you'll have much better options than emory in a year or two

OP, are you 22ish? There is literally no downside and all upside to sitting out a year or two and getting a better score. It will be better in every way for your outcomes.
