the massachusetts school of law does not require an lsat score
instead they have created their own very ingenious test
that tests all the skills necessary to becoming a real life lawyer
they have cleverly named this test the mslat

what does everyone think of this admissions test
do u think u could master this rigorous exam
and more importantly, should fred franklin be admitted to msl

Well, MSL isn't ABA-accredited, so it doesn't really matter - the school could grant/deny admission based on a game of flip-cup if they wanted to.

The pissing match between the ABA and MSL is long and interesting.

I found the marital problems of Fred's BigLaw mom and failed-the-bar-turned carpenter dad pretty interesting. They really call back carpentry when he launches a nail into his girlfriend's daughter's eye. SO MANY LAYERS.

For a while I thought this was going to be a torts hypo.

I kinda feel bad for Fred. When he's watching Ava while Jean is away "visiting friends in another state" or "attend[ing] a wedding," she is cheating on him. We all know it, Ava knows it, and Fred knows it.

Also, I spent my 2L summer working for a mid-level Rhode Island firm. The firm selected a MSL graduate over me for an open associate position.

I'm a bit embarrassed to say that yes, it did happen. Basically, the firm lost an associate and needed a replacement ASAP. At that moment, I had another year left of law school and this MSL grad strolled in at the perfect time to take the open position. I almost asked the managing partner why they would hire someone from a non-accredited school, but as a spiteful and vindictive person, I need to make an effort not to appear spiteful and vindictive.

The fact that this kid could get a job, however, gives me some glimmer of hope that I'll eventually find a suitable job.

"After the free, junior year, they can skip their senior year if they get accepted to the Massachusetts School of Law in Andover.

Lawrence Velvel is the school’s dean. He says the law school trustees subsidize the completion college for under half a million dollars a year. Velvel says ACHLS is a good investment because most of the students do go on to the Mass School of Law, or MSL.

Even though we are not charging tuition for the history college, we do OK, because in law school, they pay tuition and it more than compensates for the money we are putting into the history college."

subsidizing a completion college offering free junior year tuition to lure kids into attending msl at full price
but then i visited the achls website and discovered they are shutting down imminently

Pros:
-competent enough to serve soup to the homeless
-ready to take on responsibility at a moment's notice. see: taking young child to the hospital who he shot in the eye with a nail.
-can make MSL the first school to have a graduate focusing his law practice on "aging"
-comfortable with working in a group setting. see: his drug addict support group


Con:
-shot a child in the face with a nail while high on drugs
-dropped philosophy classes because they weren't "easy courses"
-lacked perception to notice his parents fights over the law were not interesting, but rather a prelude to their nasty divorce.

Recommendation: admission with full scholarship with top 10% stipulation so when he fucks up MSL makes some bank.
