Retake.
But since you won't retake, why is this even a question? You want to practice in Boston, so go to BC. But neither school is worth even half that bill.

No prominent Boston firms come to OCI at Vandy. Will be much more difficult. If you want boston, BU is a better choice.
Rising 2L at Vandy.

Thanks for the reply; I appreciate it.
What cities are most represented at OCI?

Neither is a good option, but the less worse option is BC due to your goals and the lower COA. Still, $95k for BC? Yikes.

With the family help you're getting to keep BC costs down, coupled with actually wanting to work in Boston, its a no brainer even if it doesn't feel that way. 50k+ for a worse chance of winding up in your home city doesn't add up.
That aside, op please negotiate with BC, you can probably get 5k/year out of them if you leverage the vandy offer. Gogo gadget negotiation

I just got off the WL at Vandy with $20k/year. Right now I am deciding between taking this offer, and continuing onto Boston College (my original plan) with $25k/year.
Estimated total COA for each: (considering help from family, which is especially relevant if I were to attend BC)
BC- ~$95,000
Vandy- ~$140,000
I am from Boston, but I also have some ties down South. I would ideally like to work in Boston, but I could live in Nashville. I would like to maximize my chances at a market paying job (again, ideally in Boston, but I mainly want to make sure I'm getting the most out of this investment). I am K-JD, with a finance degree and some solid finance internship experience (not sure if that is relevant or not).
work for a year or two before going. retake. profit.

A good mix of major markets and southern markets. Just no major boston firms like Fish, Ropes, etc.

Numbers? Did you apply to BU? BC is better in this case, but COA is higher than I would feel comfortable taking.

Given you actually have a legit undergrad degree, there is no reason not to get work experience first.
