I am considering employment in the NYC, DC and SF markets. I know that WUSTL would be better for NYC and DC, but which would be better for SF?

Neither? Take higher ranked wustl over Loyola but both are going to be pretty worthless for placing in SF.

If you want SF, the schools you should go to (in descending order) are S, B, T6, T14, UCLA, USC.

I'm a transfer student accepted at WUSTL…just considering worst case scenario if I don't get accepted anywhere else.

Barring being a patent attorney you should nix SF idea and go chi/stl/Kc as those are going to be the only realistic markets you'll place in.

Transfer to WUSTL won't get you SF.
Stay at Loyola may or may not get you SF. Transfer to B or S, UCLA/USC or other T14.
