Re: Washburn, Creighton, Nebraska, or Willamette
I attended Willamette for my 1L. As a guy in my early 20s, single.. Salem sucked. It was absolutely terrible. That said, it drove me to kick ass my 1L year because there was shit else to do (I'm not too much into the outdoorsy stuff). However, I ended up in the top 5% of my class and, before I pulled the trigger to transfer, my job prospects were abysmal. Thank the law gods that I was able to transfer to a substantially better school (T1) that has allowed me some chance a job. So, what I'm saying is.. the debt at Willamette is NOT worth the slim chance at a job. You will have to beat out everyone—and that's including a bunch of kids.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a post that just makes me cringe like this.

I would recommend Creighton provided you have a plan in place with someone who can take your sons in when law school doesn't work out. If you are set on ruining your financial future and career, you should really try to do what you can to get a secure home for your children rather than hurting their futures for no reason.

Finally, I can now say that I'll be attending the highest ranked school in Ann Arbor, according to the Cooley rankings.Regulus wrote:I wonder if the assistant dean at Cooley saw this coming...Regulus wrote:Nice find... According to this, it looks like Elizabeth wasn't even considered as a finalist for that position, although the 42-year-old assistant dean at Cooley Law was (but she didn't get the position either).cron1834 wrote:ETA - Reach for those dreams, doe.
