Your math needs work.
But any stipulation other than "good academic standing" is bad.

LOL at the 7th grade math fails ITT.
OP, the Loyola scholly will be easier to maintain, because you have to beat PROPORTIONALLY fewer classmates. But, Loyola kinda sucks. How much are you taking out in loans for these choices?

This is what happens when I spend too much time in the library as a 3L. My becomes mush.

The curve makes it so class size doesn't matter. Top 75% is better than top 50% no matter what the relative class size.
But seriously retake the LSAT and go to a better school.

Op it really makes no difference. If you attend law school in a class with 2 people in it, and you need to be top 50% to keep the scholarship, you only need to beat 1 person. But the odds that you do that-- 1/2--are the same as if you were in a class of 200 people, and you had to beat 100 people to be top 50%.

This is all working out so poorly. I'm going to slowly move myself into the stacks and cry myself to sleep.

Pretty poor thought process, OP. I can flip it around really easily: to keep your scholarships you can't let more than 100 of your peers do better than you at Pepperdine, but at Loyola you just have to let less than 270 of your peers outperform you. Obviously looking at it in terms of absolute numbers is silly.
More importantly though, lose those stips!

At a place like Loyola, a 75% stip isn't bad because if you are below 75% you should be dropping the hell out anyways, and that's a good motivator.

By your logic you would have about the same chance of beating out all 100 other people in a law school with 101 students

lol, wut?
OP, this is TTTT reasoning.
All else equal, there's no reason why you'd take Pepperdine over Loyola if the $$$ is similar. Who gives a #@$% how many people you need to beat out. It's all about percentages.

I think you would be crazy to attend either of these law schools unless you have a full ride and are cool with the very real possibility that you might never actually end up a lawyer

This thread reminds me of the law suit against NYLS that was thrown out because the judge ruled the students were "sophisticated consumers." Carry on.

My Loyola Scholarship says I must be in the top 75% of my class.
Pepperdine's says I must be in the top 50% of my class.
I was leaning towards Loyola even though they are lower ranked (and presumably going to continue dropping in the ranks) because I felt that the stipulations to keep my scholarship were more lenient. But When I think about it, at Pepperdine I suppose I would need to do better than 100 of my peers to keep my scholarship- while at Loyola I would need to do better than 90. So it seems about the same.
Does that make sense or am I crazy? I'm not sure how the law school curve affects things, but if the stipulations are top 50% vs top 75% it would seem that they they actually turn out to be about the same?
Derp. I'll just go to the smaller school because, even though I need to achieve a much higher class rank, I need to beat less people. Yay! Derp!
Just, wow..... your reasoning skills strongly suggest that you'll probably lose your scholarship at either school.....

First off... How much are these scholarships worth? Because if not full tuition, either retake or negotiate.
