^ I previously posted about choosing between USC (40k/year Scholly) vs. Gtown (10k/year Dean Grant) and received a lot of good feedback however Gtown just responded after I requested additional scholarship funding and they upped the offer to 25k/year (10k Dean Grant + 15k Merit Scholly). The conclusion for the past post was generally that I would be safer choosing USC (although I worry about their employment statistics) due to the complications that choosing Gtown at sticker would entail. Below are the updated numbers. Do you guys think I'd be better off choosing Gtown now? Or do you think it would still be a better safer bet choosing USC? I'm about 60% leaning Gtown now after previously leaning about 75% USC.
Georgetown:
Loans needed Per Year: 55k (was 70k)
Debt at Grad: 165k (was 210k)
Monthly Payments: 1,900 (was 2,500)
USC:
Loans needed Per Year: 41k
Debt at Grad: 125k
Monthly Payments: 1,500
Difference between USC & GULC at Grad: 40k
Oh yeah, p.s. ALWAYS TRY TO NEGOTIATE FOR ADDITIONAL SCOLARSHIP MONEY. USC went from 30k/year to 40k after an email and phone call and GULC went from 0 merit aid to 15k/year simply from an email. You have nothing to lose and tens of thousands to gain!
