Your idea of rural is less than 100,000.

A place with such a small population is unlikely to be able to support a law school

Not to be a dick, but if you're interested in this, why don't you just look it up instead of asking everyone else to look it up for you?

U of Alabama is the only one I can think of that would meet your <100,000 population, Top 60, criteria right off. I'm sure there's more.

Why? Are you trying to be around the fewest people possible?

Cornell, Indiana-Bloomington, Iowa, many others...obviously not hard once you look down the list of rankings and google the schools from smaller cities.

Aside from the ones already mentioned: Penn State, William and Mary, UC-Davis, and U Illinois all jumped out at me as being in areas <100k.

If you extend to schools ranked 100 or better it adds
Arkansas-Fayetteville
Kansas
Rutgers-Camden (I know its close to Philly but Camden, NJ is under 100,000)
West Virginia University
Michigan State
University of New Hampshire

(I have a really boring job, hence the free time to list all these schools)

For the record, there are a number of others like UGeorgia or UFlorida that are right around 120k people as well, but I suppose that may not fit your definition of "rural."

You're right, I saw a few below 120k but I based it off of his definition being less than 100k

When I think rural I think of somewhere like Washington & Lee which is in a town of 7,000

I currently live in my state's capitol and there are only roughly 50,000 people that live here. So I personally think rural is less than 100,000.

The town my UG is located in is around 25k (give or take), and to me that's huge---->hence why I commute in 8)

Seriously. My undergrad was in a town of 1,200, now THAT is rural. The town didn't have a bar, liquor store, or stoplight.

That isn't rural, that is desolate.

It was also a "dry" campus.
