Top Law Schools

I am looking to stay within the region but cannot decide between the University of Oklahoma (tier 2) and Oklahoma City University (substantial scholarship). The real issue is I don't have a particular field of law I want to study, so I don't know if that means go with the cheaper option (OKCU) or the one with more potential (OU).

What is your estimated total cost of attendance at each? I wouldn't go to OU for more than 50-60k.

COA @ OKCU would be around $20,000

COA @ OU would be $60,000

My family agreed to cover most of the cost, but I still want to go with the best value.

What are your numbers?

OU for $60k is not too bad if you want to work in Oklahoma. You should probably retake though.

What are the stipulations? Scholarships are worthless if they force everyone on scholarships into the same section.

If you are wanting to go to law school in OK and practice in OK afterwards, I personally think you're better off attending the state's flagship law school (OU). If you need any more encouraging, look at LST's jobs data for the last several years and compare both schools.

I just recently decided to attend OU and I had scholarship offers from both schools, with OCU's offer being very generous, and I don't regret turning it down in favor of what OU has to offer, even though I will pay more.

OU at 60k isn't a bad choice if you want to practice in the area

Definitely OU if your COA numbers are accurate. Just realize this means you can really only work in Oklahoma or maybe Dallas/FW.
