I am an AA female

Accepted into American
Waitlisted at Howard
Waitlisted and Rutgers

If accepted into Howard should I go there over WCL?

My goal is to make big money.. but then again I have a passion for international human rights, saving the world bla bla but from reading on here it seems like ^ that is a joke... especially with all the debt from American I would not be able to live comfortably.. so I guess forget my passion and focus on Big Law because if I can manage to get into that, pay off my debt down the line, then I can worry about the world and all the bla bla stuff

So my plan is to go to American, place top 15% in the class, transfer into GW or Georgetown with the help of being an AA female

Should I stick to this plan? I've read that if you place top at American then there is no need to transfer... is that true?

What about Howard? Howard is half the tuition vs American.. if I place top % at Howard are my chances the same for transferring to GW or Georgetown?

Or if I am accepted at Rutgers should I just go there?

Retake, go to T14 for free, get big law. That's the only possible way to have a decent shot at "big money" (lol).

None of the above. As an AA with a 3.6 GPA, the only answer is retake or don't go. If you can even score 158+, you'll probably get some full rides this cycle to a couple of TTs. Low or mid 160s and you're most likely in the T14, possibly with $$. Don't go to any one of these schools at sticker.

Then you're shooting yourself in the foot at any of these schools.

Retake and get subsidized at one of those. If you want high odds at "big money," you need top 20. If you go to one of these schools, have some combination of a scholarship or a plan to kick ass. Preferably both (though I note, in seriousness, that kicking ass 1L may lead to merit scholarships for 2L and 3L). The fact that you are in at sticker at American and not yet admitted at Rutgers tells me you need to work towards a solid jump in LSAT to get a merit award. That would make these options make sense. Be patient-- that's my advice. If you get admitted at Rutgers w/o money and INSIST on going to law school this fall, then I'd say that's you're best option between its 24k tuition and relatively ok job market. Short of that, I'd wait.
