WUSTL V RETAKE?

Deciding between attending Wustl with a very minimal scholarship and retaking the LSAT. I would probably like to be on the East Coast, but would not mind staying in the midwest. Also considering JD/MBA programs (would a WUSTL/ Olin duel degree change my job prospects?).

Attended Wustl as an undergrad (not sure if that will count as "ties" to STL. when applying for jobs)
3.72 gpa
159 LSAT
1 year work experience and have been running a significant business since sophomore year of undergrad.

Would it be worth it to sit out a year and what type of boost would be needed to crack the top 14?

Thanks for any information or opinions!

COA...

if you're not URM, this is likely too expensive to attend tbh. Retake, at least for the hope of less debt from the same school.

Definitely retake. WUSTL at anything over 100k for COA is crazy. Especially if you have a good GPA, don't waste it on a 159. Retake and get way more money from WUSTL and some money from t14s

also, if suggesting a retake, are there any LSAT boot camps or intensive courses that have worked especially well for others?

I used StratusPrep in Manhattan. My diagnostic score was a 148 and my official LSAT score is a 169, although the fire alarm went off twice on test day. I recommend that company. The only other ones that are worth the money are Manhattan LSAT and PowerScore (some recommend Blueprint, but that has less consistent results).

i used manhattan for logic games and it helped me out a LOT. if some of their methods dont work for you, you could switch to powerscore. but its usually good to stick to one method but yet remain flexible.
For LR, i would also recommend manhattan. they really took the time to break down everything and explain why the answers were right or wrong.
