The info: Richmond - $30k scholly, no stips, three years. Tulane: $35k up from 30, gpa stip of 3.0. Geography isn't of great concern. Richmond is clearly in the lead, right? Also Non traditional, so anything beyond scholarship is on me.
Edit: tuition at Richmond is 39 and at Tulane it's 49.

You really don't care whether youll probably be stuck in Virigina or Louisiana? They are pretty different.
Job stats are probably a wash. Richmond is the better offer since its more affordable + no scholly stip

Yeah, maybe I should have added, I care nothing about biglaw, and I'm not sitting out a cycle. If that's the only thing your advice is geared towards, I'd just as soon you not comment. My apologies for not stating that earlier.

I'm from Texas, so Louisiana isn't a problem, at least New Orleans isn't. I was in the military, so moving to VA wouldn't bother me, and I think I'd like it. I also have some other apps still out, but I have a deposit due at Richmond on the 15th. I just checked my letter, and it isn't binding so I'll just make the deposit and see what happens with the other apps.

Oh, well since you were in the military, of course it follows that you would be ok with living in VA...
Anyway, gotta do all this first:

Just because you are not interested in biglaw does not mean you just still go to either of these schools at the prices you mentioned. The bigger factor is whether you'll have the opportunity to become a lawyer at all and the likely answer is no.

Being a grad of one of these schools, pretty shocking the figures are quite that bad. But agree with the consensus, you need to sit out a year, strengthen your profile, and reapply.
