Help needed! BU $$ or Cardozo full or..?

long time lurker first time poster...
3.4/173
I have a phD in Genetics and basically just want to do IP. Not planning on going for biglaw.
So far I only got admissions from BU (trying to get some $$ from them, but let's assume its gonna be sticker) and Cardozo (full$$).

New info added - BU now is offering $30000/yr. Is Cardozo still worth considering?

I'm still waiting to hear anything at all from GW, NYU, Columbia, UCLA, and yes Hofstra, but again let's assume all of them are going to ding me. What's my best choice? BU? Cardozo? or neither and try to work at an IP firm (which is probably hard given the market) and Good luck! Follow your dreams! later?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

You didn't apply to Fordham? I bet if you applied there you'd get a full scholly, if not close to full scholly. It's a much better option than Cardozo...

GW full ride should be what you are aiming for.

Fordham only gives out two full schollys per year, which are used strategically, and not purely merit. Merit and/or need schollies max out at $30k

I'd seriously consider EDing at GW for the full ride here.

No I didn't. I probably should have. I heard Fordham wasn't the most generous.. but oh well. Also IP at Cardozo ranked ridiculously high (#6 according to their info), but I do realize not many people/firms care about specialty rankings.

By EDing do you mean go for next cycle?

I do. Alternatively, if you get dinged (at GW) this cycle, you can go for ED to BU for their full ride. Seeing as they've already accepted you this cycle, it seems improbable they wouldn't also give you a ton of money, even if they don't bite on the ED.

Worst case scenario you've sat out a cycle, best case scenario you've substantially cut down your debt load.

Or just call GW and ask if the school will accept a late application. I'm sure they'll be salivating over your 173

Does this mean that Fordham won't negotiate for more than $30k/year? I already have $30k from them and I want to negotiate for more. Will my efforts be futile?

Yeah I always wondered why I never saw any Fordham $$$ vs NYU/CLS threads.

With a full ride at Dozo, you shouldn't have even bothered opening the letter from Hofstra

Yeah. The only good thing I guess about Hofstra is I'll be able to live at some family member's house there and walk to school daily

You should get a T14 with decent money. IP gives you a boost, but its pretty saturated. Plenty of T14 kids trying to get into it, thought the PhD helps. Full ride at GW would be good, but money at lower T14 would be good too. Why no NU?

BU just responded today with a 30000/yr scholarship offer. Should I still consider Cardozo? Or not bother spending the deposit thats due tomorrow

Anecdotal, but I applied to GWU with better numbers than OP in January and got lowballed. Tried to negotiate it up and was denied.
