Hello,
I was accepted to these three law schools. Which one should I choose? I am originally from CA and I would prefer to stay in CA. McGeorge offered me $20,000. The other two are at sticker price. However, I am doubting whether I should go to law school at all. Is attending SMU worth it?

Those CA schools are not worth it by any stretch. Their job numbers are horrible in a very saturated market. At SMU, there's a much better chance of getting a job, but two things: 1) it's too expensive/risky at sticker and 2) the job would almost surely be in Texas, likely Dallas, as SMU is a regional school. A June re-take would be in order.
So basically, only go to a school like SMU if you get a good scholarship and want to work in that region. Do not go to a school 1500 miles away and hope to move back to CA. There are likely limited to almost no alumni connections and it's very difficult to network and stand out against all of the other students at CA's 21 other law schools.
TCR if someone want to work in CA is:
S > B >>> UCLA or USC (if either gives you $$) >>> UCI or UCD ((if either gives you $$$) >>> UC Hastings (with $$$$).
I don't think any other CA law school has the job numbers to justify spending 3 years of your life and the opportunity costs of attending. A year studying for the to crush the LSAT can literally make/save someone $100-$200,000. So if you're making that much per year, don't go to LS period. If you're not, then study like hell to maximize your school choices and scholarship options.

Re-take or don't go. McGeorge is one of the worst law schools in the whole country for job prospects and you'd come out owning something like 150K.

I would say USF of these 3. At least public interest jobs seem to be a path for USF folks. McGeorge has tanked a lot employment wise.

Lol, solid troll job. USF is one of the very worst law schools in the country. It has the 6th worst employment outcomes, and that's after the 3 Puerto Rican schools. Of all non-Puerto Rican schools its the 3rd worst. It's the true definition of a dumpster fire and should be shut down. No one in their right mind should ever consider attending. Come on man.
As for the OP- not going to law school is a much better decision than attending any of these. USF and McGeorge should be shut down. SMU is a good solid school but should only be attended on a large scholarship and with a goal of working in Dallas.

Lol hey I didn't say it was ideal. OP asked for a choice of the 3 and I don't know anything about SMU to be fair lol

Jesus Christ OP for goodness sake don't do any of these. Any of them would be a terrible decision. Re-take for the love of all things holy.

USF and McGeorge are literally two of the absolute worst law schools in the country.
SMU is decent but not at sticker and not for CA

For your goals, none of the above. SMU is an okay school for a Texan who wants to work in Texas and has a full ride. It has literally 0 weight in California. USF is a dumpster fire that can't even get graduates jobs in Southern Florida, why the hell would it have influence in California? And McGeorge is a contender for the worst law school in the country. The correct answer is to Good luck! Follow your dreams! until you can get into USC or UCLA, or UC Irvine on a scholarship.
USF=University of San Francisco, not South Florida
