BU vs Northeastern vs AU vs Belmont

Post by Americanghost » Mon Mar 24, 2014 4:07 pm

I would like to gauge some opinions on the schools I've gotten into.

A little about me, my GPA in undergrad was 3.89. I took the LSAT twice, 1st score was 156 and 2nd score was 163.

Ideally, I'd like to be in Nashville (my hometown) or Boston (where I live currently), but DC would be an option, too. I'm flexible in what career choice I'd want to pursue. My interest is mostly in IP.

I've gotten into Boston University. No word yet on a scholarship offer from them (if there is one). COA~ $65k
Northeastern offered what ends up being a 3/4 of tuition scholarship. COA ~$28k
American offered 15k a year, but that still leaves about 30k in tuition. COA ~$58k
Belmont University in Nashville (which is just provisionally accredited) has offered me a full tuition scholarship. COA~ $20k (but mainly just rent)

My education would have to be funded mostly through scholarships, need-based aid, and loans, as I don't have much saved up and don't really have any options for outside funding from family.

I just would like to see what other people would do in this position, why you would make that choice, and any other advice.

Thanks!

Sit-out, gain work experience, PREPARE INTELLIGENTLY AND IN EARNEST FOR THE JUNE 2014/OCT 2014 LSAT ADMINISTRATION, retake for at least a 167, apply early next cycle, and then reap the profits.
