Hi everyone, I'm a South Jersey resident and senior at The College of New Jersey.

GPA - 3.9 LSAT - 162

Rutgers-Camden - 18,000/year scholarship, remain in top 60%, COA/year = ~ 16,000
Temple - 30,000/year scholarship, remain in top 66%, COA/year ~ 17,000
Seton Hall - Full Tuition scholarship, good academic standing, COA/year - 12,000

Richmond - 30,000/year, good academic standing, COA/year ~ 22,000
Admitted to BU, UNC, Maryland with no scholarship
Waiting on Duke (unlikely but who knows)

Thoughts?

I'd like to stay local. Wondering if anyone had strong feelings for any of these schools. Currently leaning Temple because it's the highest ranked school and living in Philly >>> Newark/Camden. Thanks so much for your advice!

You can negotiate Temple up to a full scholarship (I had success in it with a 3.5 and a 163).

Obviously, with your GPA a retake would serve you well. I would look closely into Temple's job #'s before you go there and talk to some students. Any that I have talked to are very open about how scary their job searches have been.

Are you indifferent between metro NYC or metro Philly post grad, or prefer one?

Are you COA numbers based on out-of-state tuition at Camden, such that you'd be living in Philly as you prefer (can't blame you)?

Temple is very solid, probably the better choice if you want Philly practice, and at least known (if not prominent) up in NY. I would go Temple, and first try to negotiate your amount leveraging SH's offer, perhaps. The stips are not bad. If you want the most natural route in NYC, then edge to SH out of these options.
