Hi guys!

Still waiting for scholly info from both Chicago and GULC,
but I want to work as a government attorney after I graduate.

Chicago is a higher ranked school, but GULC is also a great school and a good location for my career.
What schools would be better?
I visited Chicago (loved it) and haven't visited GULC yet.
I live in New York and GULC Is definitely closer than Chicago.

Law school probability calculator says past scholarships for people with my stats are as follows:

Chicago: $42,880
GULC: $52,405

I wonder if law school rankings matter a lot for government attorney positions?

Let me know what you guys think =) Thanks!!!

Government rankings matter somewhat, but they are not as critical. Either way, Chicago is TCR unless you get more money at GULC.

What do you mean by "government attorney"? That covers quite a bit of ground. Some positions are extremely selective in terms of school prestige, some not so much.

I'd go to Chicago regardless.

We need to see actual COA figures, not a probability of you getting scholarships.

Saying "I want to be a government attorney" is about as specific as "I want to go to college so that I can work with my brain rather than my hands." Do you want to be an ADA for your hometown? Do you want to be a JAG? Do you want to work for EEOC?

Um...I think most people are still waiting for you to expound on your goals a little bit. "government lawyer" is really, really broad.
