Scholarship amounts are meaningless. What's the cost of attendance for each?

Correct answer is probably none of the above

Also, these schools are all over the map (literally). Where do you want to work?

USC gets the most big law of the three (65/206 - 29.55%)

If you get in off the waitlist go with GULC + Tax LLM 3.5 year program

And yes there's a significant difference between GULC and GW - difference between 22% big law and 39% big law not to mention a GULC degree is portable.

Especially if you want tax why not go to power ranked school with $$$, then get LLM at nyu or another powerhouse?

USC (if southern cal) for about 150k isn't a bad option. Just know you really want to be top quarter, and your peers are likely as smart as most of the t-14. It's really about risk adversity and confidence in your work ethic and IQ. You have a 30ish percent chance it works out well, and a 50 percent chance it's a neutral outcome.

What would you consider as powerhouse? Is Vandy or UCLA included?

Thanks but retaking is left only for this June and I am not even sure if I can when I already have several scores. Will adding another score around July be recommendable, I am not so sure.
Yes it would. Retaking next cycle would also be recommendable.

Thanks I just checked my LSAC account and it seems that I've reached the 2-year 3 times limit.
Waiting two years would also be recommendable.

Sure it is, when THE option is to retake.

If $150,000 is a federal loan debt figure, I would be very hesitant.

I have my BA from Northeast region, my family member lives in CA. Other than that, no ties.
I don't mind working anywhere geographically.

This is kind of what I'm thinking. When you're a foreigner/ESL I think you need to be even more risk adverse because the deck is even more stacked against you. Paying 150K at a school like USC is the opposite of risk adversion IMO.

Unless there's something magical about tax law that would make those concerns lessened
