Thought I'd start a page for those considering only PT and only in NYC. Where you applied, why, where you want to go, $$$$ considerations, etc - opinions welcome, but no need to crush people's dreams by explaining what a bad idea non T-16 or TTT or part time law school is - just for people who know they want to go PT in NYC but either don't know exactly where or have decided/are current students and can provide meaningful, constructive feedback to help us make decisions.
I applied late to all 6, above median LSAT at all six PT programs, GPA nicely above 3.0 but not spectacular, and work full time in Manhattan (5-9 out of Undergrad).
And look forward to meeting some of my fellow NYC Part Timers this fall!

I applied (also late- 2/25) PT:
Fordham (waiting on response)
Seton Hall (waiting on response)
Brooklyn (waiting on response)
Rutgers-Accepted, no scholly yet
St. Johns (waiting on response)
CUNY- Deny (awkward)
Hofstra- Full ride
Pace- $20K
NYLS- $20K
Touro- $20K
Plan is to keep working as a paralegal at my biglaw firm though school. Issue with Hofstra full ride is it's a day program, and I don't think my firm will be cool with letting me flex hours that much. Rutgers seems to be the best choice financially. But I'm still keeping my hopes up for Fordy...strong softs and the partner I work for is an alum and wrote a great LOR.
That being said- in a dream world where I get into all the above, is Rutgers still the best choice than the others at sticker?

Fordham if you guys get it. If not, Rutgers. These are the strongest programs and best names.

Whatever you all choose, do not attend New York Law School. Good luck PTers!

Haha thanks everyone. I hear you on NYLS/Touro. Nice to get feedback on Rutgers.
Just got waitlisted today at Brooklyn. Doubt Fordham is going to happen...

I just received my Fordham PT admission email today.
In at Brooklyn with 21k/year.
Waiting to hear from Fordham on any $$$, but strongly leaning towards Fordham...
Although of course Brooklyn is announcing a 15% tuition cut today, so there's that...

Congrats! Tough call.. thats a nice scholly from Brooklyn, and I feel like Fordham is more stingy so it could be a big $ discrepancy. Then again, Fordham is the best PT in NYC, so- you get what you pay for?
Either way, great dilemma to have- congrats

Fordham at sticker is too expensive (so is everywhere else). NY Law for free is too expensive.

LOL
I am waiting for scholly offer from Bklyn. Got into Fordham with $10K. I got into the PT program but strongly considering FT since I'd like to maintain my sanity during 1L with all the studying involved - as well as I want to make the most of law school Interested in immigration law and starting my own practice upon graduating. Fingers crossed!

Run from Touro as fast as you can. One of my colleagues graduated from Touro (PT) and she's a power obsessed sociopath and completely incompetent at her job (compliance). She has been making everyone's life miserable at work. She took the Bar for the second time in Feb, and doubt she'll pass, since, despite the fact that she's American, she can't even write well in English (which is why she copies and pastes into emails to the firm speeches by SEC officials, pretending it's her own wording)
