Re: BU vs BC vs GW
I have basically have the same decision to make, although I'm positive I want to practice in Boston. I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with BU.

What are the costs? If all sticker, don't do any of them. I think generally speaking, GW>both but not by much and definitely not if you want to live and practice in New England/Boston.

General sentiment is that if you want to work in New England, BC>BU>>GW.
More realistically though, how much would each school cost to attend per year?

The cheaper of BU/BC. BU will give you a better shot at DC, but it would still be an uphill battle. If you're ambivalent between DC/Boston, Boston is less competitive, especially if you have ties.

Thats not true at all - they are all peer schools. If anything, GW is a degree mill with their enormous class sizes. BU/BC are each about half the size.0913djp wrote:What are the costs? BU- 101+ attorneys=27.1% Fed clerk=4.8%
BC- 101+ attorneys=25.4% Fed clerk=2.3%
GW- 101+ attorneys=27.3% Fed clerk=3.8%
Figures drawn from LST class of 2012

Re: BU vs BC vs GW
I went with BU over BC and GW and I haven't regretted my decision, but I knew I wanted to practice in New England. I know TLS will usually only give you an answer based on straight economics, but when comparing peer schools it's okay to take into account personal preferences about location and quality of life etc. Generally, BU is a city campus and BC is more suburban so there is more to do around BU but if you want some quiet and trees BC is better. BU's new building is opening in the fall so that's cool. Also, BU's faculty is generally highly regarded. On the other hand, BC's alumni base is supposed to be much better.
I don't really think you can go wrong with either school.

This is just TLS echo-chamber nonsense. BU and BC are insanely close in pretty much every employment metric, and that holds true across regions as well. I agree that cost should largely determine the choice between the 2, with neighborhood feel being the secondary decider.Informative wrote:General sentiment is that if you want to work in New England, BC>BU>>GW.
