You're probably fine at either school, but I suspect you'll find more Duke alumni in California. Cornell tends to be really focused on NYC. I believe that Duke grads end up a little more spread out across different legal markets.

If COA is identical, and if you have no geographic preference for where you want to spend three years of law school, then I'd probably go with Duke.

Duke has a greater percentage of its grads in California (12%) than Cornell does (6.3%). As the above poster said, Cornell focuses on NYC.

Congratulations on having these choices. I hope to face this exact decision later on in the cycle; come on Duke waitlist!!
