It may seem like an odd question, but what are you supposed to wear to an open house? I assume professional attire, but what have others done?

Being the only non-adcomm wearing a suit at ASW wasn't comfortable.

I'm assuming you're talking about an admitted students open house, which means you've already been accepted and what you wear won't matter at all. No need to go more than business casual. Jeans and a polo for a guy is more than fine.

Consensus is that it doesn't matter, but if you have to obsess about it you should wear what you would wear if you were meeting your girlfriend's parents for dinner for the first time at the Cheesecake Factory.
