Because your thinking about it is worthless until you actually have a choice to make. Do you also sit around worrying about the troubles that you'd encounter if you won the lottery?

No. But there's a much greater possibility of this hypothetical happening than winning the lottery will happen.

You should still shoot for T14 (or at least T14 numbers) if you want MA. At my lower T14, people that I know that seriously wanted Boston that had solid ties were able to get it, which cannot be said for everyone at BC/BU etc. This is especially true if you want to clerk, but HYS are the only schools you should go to if you are set on clerking.

I see. Yeah. I suspect most people at BU/BC are locals, too, so the ties are a wash.
