Okay I normally don't bash other schools, but if you're actually even thinking about attending Charleston School of Law (lol), DON'T.

Anybody considering schools like this are not going to be persuaded by facts. They already refuse to accept reality.

Charlotte was SPS before this and will continue to be after. People need to stop acting like non-profit means anything in the law school world. It's all a scam folks. At least the for-profit guys are a little less smug about it.

CSL is ridiculous. This deal was pretty forseen though. My family is pretty involved in the SC legal world and I heard about this from some relatives in May.
I don't think anyone should go to CLS unless they get funneled into a family business afterwards. One of my relatives couldn't get into South Carolina so she went here and just worked for her dads small town practice after graduation, which was her goal in attending law school. I'm sure it works for some people but I certainly would never attend. If someone wants to practice in SC and can't get into USouth Carolina, I think it might be time for a new goal haha

So much about this quote makes me LOL. I would maybe feel bad for the CSOL students if it weren't for their voluntary decision to attend a TTTT.

This. That the faculty and admins are bitching because some of the "profit" they were getting will now be redirected to outside shareholders doesn't change the fact that they were making a killing off of students before.

This. Is this the first time that CSOL students are learning their school is laughable? I don't get it.

Yeah... as soon as a school's outward motives are to make money instead of educate students and provide them with upward mobility, that school should no longer be allowed to exist (or at least should no longer be allowed to operate on federal funding). I have no problem with someone charging a pretty penny to teach their students a useful skill that will help them in life, but at least 7 times out of 10, that just isn't the case with these for-profit law schools. I am not sure about the employment outcomes of other for-profit schools in general, but I can't imagine that they'd be much better.
A large number of "non-profit" law schools fit this descriptions, and probably a fair number of non-profit universities too. Whether shareholders or professors or deans are taking the money, the beginning and the end are the same.

I got offered a $42,000 scholarship and was invited to apply with an E-mail that said you may have already gotten a large scholarship. I'm currently well in the top half of a top Canadian do I regret that it costs me a bit more? No.
But ya I don't have a issue with People Law School or Southern Law Centre, these school offer at a fairly reasonable price a shot at Law School for people who want to take it, I think all law school who charge over 30,000 should be in the top 50 for profit is about greed
