Yay! Any news that gets us closer to TTTs going out of business should be celebrated.

Would that make Hamline the smallest school? I know Hawaii's entering class was like 86 or something last year.

With these numbers, I kind of wonder what the enrollment will be at Indiana Tech or if they'll even have a class at all.

If a law school opens and nobody is there to enroll in it, did it really open?

This should be a final exam question at Indy Tech.

Good. 4 law schools in the twin cities is extreme overkill. Another one should close too. 2 law schools would be best for Minnesota.

Rumors of this have been floating around for a while. Let's hope it's true. Let's hope they shut down UST as well.

I have a question though about these so called "TTTT" schools.

What purpose do they serve? Are they a cheaper alternative to law schools where one might run into 6-figure debt?

There are plenty of applicants with low numbers who want a JD. TTTTs serve that demand.

Many laughably charge 40k/yr tuition.

People are willing to pay to get law degrees, so these schools supply law degrees. There isn't some higher social purpose for their existence. Many TTTs will put you 6 figures in debt.

These schools are a result of the (now slowly changing) perception that J.D. = automatic money.

1. To take your money.
2. No, not at all.

(You're either playing dumb or are dumb.)
I am asking because I'm sure there are people who want a JD to do small time law in a quiet town or something. Law seems a lot different to me than something like computer science where you can have a degree from wherever but its your work experience/past projects that get you hired. For prospective lawyers all the data available points to not going to these TTTT schools because of bad employment prospects.

I just thought these schools were like the university of phoenix for law degrees and that they offered super cheap JD's for people who might not have extravagant goals lol.

That would be nice. But sadly, for the most part, no.

There are some exceptions. Some of the public law schools, like CUNY, are not highly ranked and they do charge relatively low tuition rates for students from their state.

Not all publics charge measurably lower tuition at the law school level, though.

University of Phoenix is outrageously expensive (~$15k/yr). It is not for people who are less ambitious and simply want a degree; that's what public schools are for. UoP's target audience is roughly the same as that of TTTTs, i.e. dumb/uninformed people.

No. Look at MT/ID/WY/Dakotas. Tiny. But also not retarded saturation levels in their respective markets, either. Also, they are dirt cheap for instate students.

Why are there all these schools I've never heard of. Hamline? Like, really? That's a law school?

"Hi. I'm your attorney. I graduated from a school named after meat."
