Asking for Offer Back - is it possible?

Sorry if this is the wrong section to post this question. I was wondering if anyone has had success in getting an offer of admission and scholarship back after initially declining it. I feel as though I made a mistake in not accepting an offer and am wondering if there is someone with past experience with this matter. Thanks for any help!

Yes, it's possible. Over the last couple of cycles, several posters on this site have gotten schools to restore previous offers after withdrawing. It's worth a shot. You obviously had numbers they wanted, and schools are especially desperate to maintain medians with the shrinking applicant pool.

Never hurts to ask. The worst they can do is say no.

Would you think it would be better to write an email or call and speak with someone in admissions?

Its harder to say no to, immediately at least.
(IMO)

What's the offer? You might have made the right call if that was your first instinct...

I'm guessing it was BU for $90K COA. Looks like he/she went with Wake for $30K COA instead.
