~115k for UT with Texas ties isn't nearly as bad as people ITT are making it out to be.

I agree with this as well, but I don't think UT is worth 70k+ more than WUSTL, even for the Texas market.

And just about everyone I know with strong Texas ties landed Texas from my class, FWIW. I vote for WUSTL here.

Looks like it is now a 60K difference? But still, probably not worth 60K more. However, UT grads make a big deal out of "midlaw" in Texas. It's hard to quantify exactly what that is or how many grads get it but it does seem like it might be a thing and the OP would most likely shut themselves out of these types of jobs if they aren't at UT. I think UT is absolutely defensible here and probably what I would choose if these were my two options.
