USC or Retake

I currently have an acceptance to USC with a 30k/year scholarship(COA ~160,000), but I still have a retake left and I scored 161 on my highest LSAT. I'm think of retaking to either increase scholly money, get off of T-14 waitlists (UChi, NU, Cornell), or reapply next cycle. If I reapply, I'd be gunning for B or HS.
Good idea to retake or should I run with USC as is?
I'm a MA URM, FWIW.

Absolutely retake. Even if you only improve to a 165-167, you're competitive at T6 plus B.

depending on your prep for the first go round, id say take the test in October, since June is 5 weeks away.... that way you have the entire summer to study and go (you can re-use your other application materials, just tweak your essays a bit)

Thanks for the responses. I signed up to retake in June! Any idea of what score I would need to make HS possible?

With a 3.7, 166-168 to make it close to a lock for H or S. You're still in contention with a 164-165, but aim for high 160s at a minimum.

Every time I face a difficult LG, I will remember that I am doing it for the puppies.

Glad you're retaking, but you should switch to October. The test is only 4.5 weeks away, and that's unlikely to be enough time to improve as much as you could.
