University of Arizona or University of Colorado - Tribal Law

Hello Everyone-

So I am trying to decide which law school to attend - either University of Colorado at Boulder or University of Arizona in Tucson. I've been accepted to both, and received scholarships at each of them, so tuition at each school will end up being roughly the same. Their rankings aren't too different, and I guess I am just wondering which one will better prepare me to be a tribal lawyer and provide the best opportunities for work each year and after school.

Thoughts anyone? I'm torn!!

NARF has an office in Boulder. Probably something to factor into your decision.

We're talking about full tuition scholarships, right?

What tribe are you a member of?

If it's located in either AZ or CO, you know what to do. If it's located in both, probably a wash. If you're not a member, good luck.

I don't know about Arizona, but you can't go wrong at CU.

We even had Indian law on our civil procedure exam. Also CU for location.

Just a thought...did the OP apply to U. New Mexico? The school might be less expensive and there is a LOT of Tribal Law being practiced here. One COULD, I suppose, do a J.D. at UNM then an LL.M. in Tribal Law at AU but I have never seen any posting for a Tribal Law position that required any education beyond possession of a standard J.D.

EDIT: Interesting specialty, too, by the way, and one with a pretty bright future here in the Southwest.
