Hey Nevertaken look around this site-- http://www.lawschooltransparency.com

It is a great resource for employment statistics. You'll find that neither St. John's nor Brooklyn place a lot of their students in full-time, long-term legal jobs. If you are looking at part-time programs in New York, Fordham would be a better choice.

Hey Empyreanrrv, thanks for that link, its extremely helpful... I want to attend Fordham as a first choice, however my LSAT pt scoring and GPA won't make the cut. Unless I hold off and take the October LSAT and hope to get into the mid 160s.

There are plenty of resources to help you get your score up there-- I read that you are taking a class and you can also check out the LSAT area on this forum. You can take the June LSAT and if you don't get your target score, October too. It is much more important to get a good LSAT score than it is to apply early, though obviously both help.

Even Fordham is a questionable choice unless you end up with minor debt.

Are you going to be working all day? If so, the choice is dictated by geography, no? If you live and work in Manhattan or Brooklyn, then shlepping out to Jamaica Queens and back for classes at night just isn't an option; you'll burn out. Flip side if you live and work in Q or LI; commuting to and from Downtown Bklyn for night classes makes for a loooooooong day.

But the best answer is none of the above. The schools just aren't placing people in good jobs right now. Consider them only if you'd accumulate zero debt, or are just picking up a JD that will help you in a job you already have.
