So we're talking about NYU @ 279K vs Cornell @ 207K
If your goal is NYC biglaw, there's no reason to fork over an extra 70K+

You're really asking a question of whether you should pay an extra $70k for a roughly equal chance at your optimal outcome (both place at about 65% in biglaw/a3). Unless you had really compelling reasons for wanting to study in NYC or specifically at NYU, it's Cornell all the way here.
Good luck!

A good number of people at NYU self-select into PI. You can't simply look at the fed clerk/biglaw numbers here and say theyre equal. NYU will do at least a little better for you. Whether thats worth 70K im not qualified to say

Easily NYU. Better location and placement.

What are your numbers? Can you retake and reapply?
If you will not retake and reapply, then go to Cornell.

Not sure what the COA is for each, but I imagine Ithaca is cheaper than the Village, to boot. While NYU is the safer option for getting a job, Cornell places just fine, and the presumably ~60+k difference makes me choose Ithaca.

The real question: Is it worth $23,000 a year to live in Manhattan rather than Ithaca?
(That's not rhetorical, by the way.)

that and do you want to deal with the Cornel workload. They have either 4 or 5 graded classes (4 substantive) which is a bitch.
NYU has 3 grades and pass fail lawyering which frees up a lot of your time
