I would say go to Chapman. I've heard of it and have never heard of California Western! Go for it, dude. Also, don't worry about the section stacking. Just ball out and you should be good to go.

Don't go to California Western or Chapman. Only 33% of their graduates are employed in the legal profession.
Also, why are you asking this? You already deposited at Washington and Lee.

Chapman has 33% employment score and 44% underemployment. Cal Western isnt much better. If its not a full tuition scholarship + COL stipend, tell him not to go.

Both are poor choices, which you (hopefully) know.
As far as anecdotes go, I know a guy at California Western who is at the top of his class and he claims he doesn't know a single person at his school with a job. So, that doesn't bode well.

This isn't my choice so I don't care about emploeny statistics, let alone anything about these school.
My friend wants to know from the TLS community if they section stack or not.
The rest is his/her decision

i registered to answer your question. I am attending chapman and it is a terrific school. I have not heard anything about section stacking, and the financial ad office and the admissions office have always been extremely helpful, so if you have concerns, you should give them a call. most of the schoolmates I know who have graduated all have legal jobs that pay well, i think your friend will be pleasantly surprised by chapman, we know we are better than any other schools here in orange county

What motivation could Chapman possibly have to Underreport their employment data to the ABA to make it look worse than it really is? Seriously?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but are you bragging about a 47% salary response and flashing misnomers to justify your school?LiquidJames wrote:now u see, that's something UCI and many other T1 and TT schools cannot duplicate

Re: Section stacking at California western and chapman
truth be told, i think UCI students are just jealous us and our alum network around the country. i mean, they had to dig up some old guy no one heard of from the carolinas to be their dean, and no, chapman is VERY VERY underrated, i strongly recommend you to speak to one of the folks from the admissions office and u'd know
