Duke$$ vs NYU$

Just looking for a little advice. Looking to work biglaw, maybe in a secondary market. Does the difference in career opportunites justify the cost between Duke(120k) and NYU(75k)?

Probably not, no. Straight financially, I'd go to Duke.

Agreed. Duke has good enough employment stats compared to NYU that it is worth the risk of dipping down the rankings.

Where do you have ties, OP?
If all you want is biglaw, try to ride the bull as long as possible, and then bailout
to whatever, take Duke, gun for NYC biglaw at OCI (mass mail elsewhere) and then profit,
hopefully.
Unless you are after "prestige" (i.e. top Vault firms vs. random V100 firms), NYU is not worth
the extra change (and here, the extra change is shifting the probability distribution of outcomes
at the margins).
