What makes you think you're going to get in-state tuition after 1L at UT?

You can get East Coast biglaw from UT, but you need serious ties. At these prices, not worth it.

I'd bet buttons to dollars you're not getting In-State. It's a lot harder than you'd think. Plus with your attitude about not wanting to work in Texas, people are going to be wondering what you're doing there. Go to BC.

If I own a condo for a full year that would count as residency under Texas laws, so why would it make it so hard to get instate when its in accordance with their rules of residency?

This will probably work, but buying a condo just for law school, especially when you aren't 100% set on staying in Austin, seems to be an extremely expensive way to get the resident tuition discount.
