What makes you think you're going to get in-state tuition after 1L at UT?

You can get East Coast biglaw from UT, but you need serious ties. At these prices, not worth it.

If I own a condo for a full year that would count as residency under Texas laws, so why would it make it so hard to get instate when its in accordance with their rules of residency?

Classic retake and reapply situation.

Go forth and prosper...
Classic didn't read the OP situation.

Go away.

The OP asked this question on toplawschools.com. And that is good advice. If they wanted bad advice then they should have gone and asked their uncle or brother-in-law.
Cool story asshole. The OP asked a question. The OP did not ask for pontifications. Get the distinction? Or are you a little slow to be "on toplawschools.com?"

This will probably work, but buying a condo just for law school, especially when you aren't 100% set on staying in Austin, seems to be an extremely expensive way to get the resident tuition discount.
