Philly Schools

A friend is going through the cycle right now and has been admitted into a number of Philly schools, pretty much all but Penn. We were talking about this the other day and the point came up between Temple/Rutgers on the one hand and Drexel/Widener on the other.
That said, what's a better position to be in? Top 10% at Widener or Drexel, or bottom 10% at Rutgers or Temple?

It's highly unlikely that you will be top 10% at a TT but bottom 10% at a TTT/TTTT.
What are your friends specific choices? Drexel is so new that I wouldn't be comfortable going without a full ride. The rest need 75%+ of tuition covered to make them viable options.

Bottom 10% anywhere is DOA. Tell your friend to go to the cheapest of Temple/Nova/Rutgers.

Yeah basically this, though I think a half scholarship to Temple is a decent option in general (its pretty cheap with in-state tuition).

Yeah I meant with out of state. In state temple + half ride is a good deal if you are a local who can live at home.

Btw the answer to your question is top 10% is much much much better than bottom 10%25%+. But as stated, don't count on it. You aren't special.
