Wake, W&M, UGA, UIUC, Emory, SMU?

Post by gjones921 » Tue Mar 26, 2013 2:19 pm

I'm from North Carolina. Would like to work in a big firm, though I know that it is a crapshoot from any of these schools. The money is total COA. I have no geographic preference at all.

45k for Wake doesn't seem bad if you're from NC. Do these numbers include cost of living (living expenses, food, etc. that you'll also have to pay for with loans)?

Yep, this cost is factoring in all expenses while in law school.

You should only be considering Wake. The debt amount is low and if you dont get biglaw you at least have ties to help you land a job. Wake doesnt make sense for most people due to a variety of factors, but in your situation it absolutely does.

Okay. Then:

45k is not a bad deal for Wake with ties, that's a manageable debt load. The other schools are not worth what they're charging, especially in your situation.

This. That's not a bad COA for a school you have ties to.

Opened thread expecting everyone to tell OP to retake. Mildly impressed. Yeah dude Wakes by far your best option given that you're in NC.
