The article says 60 scholarships, and they give out 20 a year, so yes, that funding should dry up for the next class. It's unclear whether they will try to get new funding to continue the program; it seemed to work well for admissions in terms of boosting their numbers and perhaps ranking.t-14orbust wrote:http://www.law.uchicago.edu/node/3762
According to their website the Rubenstein was meant to provide full-rides for 3 years beginning in fall 2011. That suggests that fall 2014 will not be seeing any Ruby offers. I'm really hoping this isn't the case, and was wondering if anyone had any information about whether or not the program will be continued for the fall 2014 incoming class. Thanks
edit: after re-reading it, it might also be suggesting that the funding for full-tuition is for the 3 years that these students are attending law school. It's still not completely clear though, anyone have an idea of how many have been given out already?
I'd be surprised if they aren't trying hard to find a way to offer full rides next year (these were pretty much non existent before the Rubenstein) but who knows if they'll be successful. Even if they find funds to keep offering full rides I wouldn't be surprised if the stipend went away.badaboom61 wrote:The article says 60 scholarships, and they give out 20 a year, so yes, that funding should dry up for the next class.
