UVA vs Vandy $$

Post by yeahboiii » Sat Mar 16, 2013 8:47 am

I really liked Vandy over asw, and I've got the $80k over 3 yrs scholarship (25, 25, 25, and 5 for summer or 2nd yr tuition). I haven't visited UVA yet. I'm going to, but also I haven't gotten merit aid from them. I know I'd be happy at Vanderbilt, and I love the community and southern feel, but I'm marginally afraid I'll feel like I'm "settling" or something if I don't go to UVA.
I also desperately want to practice in the northeast.
Also strongly considering Duke, Gtown, and Cornell. Nothing I can do about it now but I carpet bombed applications. Oops.

This.

You want to "desperately" practice in the NE (I'm assuming this means mid-atlantic), which makes Vandy a bad choice. Although they can certainly place candidates into NYC, you'd have to be pretty high up in your class.

And I would not consider sticker at UVA, Duke, Cornell, or especially Georgetown.

What are your numbers? Can you retake?
