If you want a change of scenery, get a job somewhereSEW6 wrote:UNC and returning to FL ? Likely or no ? South Florida native current FSU student just need a change of scenery so strongly considering Chapel Hill
Going to a prestigious out of state school can have advantages for large firm employers at OCI, but it hurts for networking purposes and interning during the year purposes. This is a big deal for non-OCI hiring
UNC is not a prestigious out of state school, merely a run of the mill one. You see none of the upside and all of the disadvantages.

Sorry should have explained better..current Florida State student.. debating between UNC(small scholy), FSU (small scholly) and UM (with 75% scholly) and wondering if on rankings alone is UNC worth the relocation up to North Carolina is ideally I would want to return to Florida for work purposes.
Thanks!

Re: Florida
So many, oh so many other threads on this board debate how small or worthwhile biglaw is in Florida, and don't see them in here yet.
secondly, everyone in the world goes to Florida and everyone knows the tricks, you have to be almost more than a native to have any considerable "ties".
