TLS is overly pessimistic when it comes to getting jobs from below median from top schools in my opinion. You should be happy with a T10 acceptance, but it might be worth it if you can retake the LSAT and get a scholly. Also, NYU is one of the best schools for getting BL in NY.

Yeah, you sound like a bitch but it's understandable. Law school is really expensive. Even the good outcomes lose a lot of their luster when they come with 250K debt.

You should be proud with a T10 acceptance. It will open up a lot of doors for you. I was around the median at a T1 in the west and ended up with a fantastic federal government job in DC. If you work hard and network at a T10 you can score the big law job you want.

Realize too that all it takes is one scholarship offer, after all, you can only attend ONE school in the end.

There are plenty of people below median that get fine jobs, and equally people above median that don't get anything from OCI (generally because they bid stupidly). Going 250k into debt, whether it's for Stanford or Georgetown, guarantees that you'll be either immediately cutting 25k+ out of your yearly paycheck, or else working in a low-paying PI job.

I don't know your numbers, but say you got 75k from Berkeley, and you got dinged at HYSCCN. Room, board, and interest, you'll come out with about 100k in debt. That means you'll more or less be making payments of 10k a year; even if you decide to completely blow off law and go for PMF, you'll be making 90k+ in 4 years working 9-5 every day. Hey, not a bad outcome.

I feel like I have competitive numbers for HYS, but if I got a half-ride from Duke, I'd definitely go rather than wait a year and try again.

There's two kinds of TLSers that get OCI-pwned, the ones with 0-80k in debt, and the ones with 150k-250k+ debt.

Human emotions can be quite perplexing much like human sexuality. Your emotions should come out naturally. The sensations you feel inside your head are called "emotions." No one knows if you should be proud of gaining admission into the T14. Only you know the answer to that question. It's not something you can look up in a book. Perhaps, your university offers a class on human emotions - like Psych 101 for example? It would be good prep for law school and for the time when your wife/husband asks you, "How do you feel honey?"

Try and negotiate a scholly at one of the lower ranked t14 you got into using your acceptance at one of the higher ranked ones. That or retake the LSAT and get into a better school or get schollys

Be proud for a couple days then accept that you are just another average T10 scrub. Just meat into a grinder.
