as far as la cross teams go...nonamer49 wrote:Location and surroundings aside (I think Charlottesville beats all), how would you rank Berkeley, Duke, and UVA if its just the three of them?
Any particular specializations better or worse at these schools (i.e. international law, litigation)?
B, D, UVa

OP has been gone for 3 years...
ITE, it largely depends on where you want to work. If you want the East Coast, go to Duke or UVA. If California, go to Boalt. Firms' offices are becoming a lot more regional. They are less willing to travel across country to interview non-HYS students.
Based on what I have heard about the upcoming OCIs at each school, and last year's OCI results, I'd probably choose Duke/UVA>>Boalt.

Re: Berkeley v. Duke v. UVA
someone mentioned that berkeley and UVA did better for biglaw than duke and quoted leiter, but on his top15 vault study duke beat out both uva and berk .71 to .62 and .59 respectively. while the study is less than two years old, im sure it still holds wait. and being from CA, duke definitely is considered more prestigious than UVA, and seemed that way on the east coast (NY) as well. berk is very well respected on the west, whereas people wouldnt think twice if you told them you were going to UVA for law school.
no offense to UVA, its a great school and everyone in cville seems so nice. proximity to DC is great too...
