BC vs BU vs GW. Which would you take for corporate law (preferably big law). Negligible differences in COA, impartial to living in DC vs Boston.

Please help this west coaster out.

Peers. If you do not have ties to Boston or DC you may be at a disadvantage as well.

Is retaking not an option? These are not good bets for corporate law

HYS, or CCN with money. Maybe another t14 with significant money, excluding Georgetown which no one should go to. Otherwise, don't go to law school. If you have full tuition at BU and nothing else to do for 3 years, go ahead, but don't count on working big law.

What is "corporate law" beyond... legal work you do for corporations that pay you $150k. WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?

Try LegalZoom. You can start an LLC for like $150.

As others said in this thread, BC if you want Boston Big Law, GW if you want DC Biglaw.

Biglaw is not likely from any of those schools. HTH.

None are great options assuming you want biglaw or bust. BC would be my choice, but I'd rather go to a lower ranked school with significant money over all those. DEFINITELY not GW.

Nope. Go look at law school transparency.

BC - 26% in Biglaw (of 44% in private practice)

BU - 19.8% in Biglaw (of 33.7%)

GW - 19.9 in Biglaw (of 40.7%)

ND - 20% in Biglaw (of 33.7%)

Emory - 18.7% in Biglaw (of 45.3%) - though this would be Atlanta/NY/DC

Obviously there are some in public interest/government work who couldn't get a job at a law firm. But for the most part, I assume those who got academia/clerkships/ business jobs wanted them. You will still need to to very well at either of these schools to land biglaw, especially if you have no ties. None of these are bad schools but you need to be realistic about your options. Paying sticker at any of these is not a good idea.
