Reapplying after not matriculating?

Has anybody had any experience with applying to schools, choosing not to go anywhere, then trying again the next cycle?
My situation: 3.19; 164. I underperformed on the October LSAT (had been PTing around 167/168). At this time I don't have the ability to retake in December as the LSAT administration date falls on the day of my graduation commencement, nor do I have the motivation to study for it again because I'm writing a large senior thesis that eats up a great deal of my time. My plan all along had been to apply to Richmond law and attempt to use acceptances from higher ranked schools to leverage a large scholarship. Presently, my numbers are good enough to get in there and LSN tells me I still have a good shot at significant money there, though I'm certainly not getting into any of the higher up schools I'd hoped to use as leverage (GWU, WUSTL, Minn, etc).
So, if my acceptances come back and I'm not getting money anywhere I want to go, I fully intend on not going at all. If I then apply next cycle, will I be viewed with any skepticism by schools for not matriculating this year?
