I appreciate all the help everyone's given me over the last few weeks.
I was wondering if Penn gives any money to ED applicants? (171/164/Cancel; 3.62)

Does not compute. Apply regular and you're in probably with money.

What do you all think medians at Virginia and Penn will be for this cycle?
I think it will dip to 169

Virginia stayed pretty steady this last year, but I'm certainly hoping for the dips.

I doubt Penn wouldn't be able to keep a 170

ED = No money

I think it's more like
ED = Definitely no money
- Definitely accepted
RD = Chance at some money
- Might be waitlisted due to YP
If you send in an ED you're not getting any money though.

Definitely not YP - 3.62/171 is prototypical Penn. Otherwise, agree, No $$ ED, possible $ RD (10k or less/year)

Not YP in the sense that the numbers are too good, but in that Penn doesn't like to accept anyone that it thinks wont attend. If you look at at those numbers there is a lot of waitlists. Correct me if I'm wrong though.
But with a 3.6/171 I don't think OP should ED in this upcoming cycle. Especially since NYU's numbers are down and I believe their median LSAT dropped to 171. I know I certainly wouldn't ED anywhere if I had that GPA.

How likely is money on the RD cycle?

Just look a little more broadly. You are above median LSAT, below median GPA. I think you can safely compare yourself to 171 3.7or 172 3.55. I personally think you are right to ED. Of the first five people I just picked, four were waitlisted. One was accepted and got zero scholarship money. If there are people who got $$$ at Penn with your numbers I can't really find any. I think the guaranteed acceptance is worth forgoing the (probably not too great) chance you have at a getting a nominal scholarship. In the end, you're going to need to get big law anyways to pay off the debt.
