Need some advice

I was recently accepted off the wait list from Mercer and Cumberland (Samford) for next fall with no $$. I am trying to decide between the two schools, but I am considering taking this year off to retake the LSAT. My numbers: UGPA: 3.6, LSAT: 147. My only hesitation for taking a year off is that I'll be turning 24 this year. I have a part-time job right now in NC and I am continuing to take 1-2 courses at a local college. I would like to practice law in NC but I'm open to practicing somewhere else in the South. Also, money is not a huge factor. Thanks

Attending either of these law schools would be a horrible error. Retake the LSAT. Even with high 150s you can get full rides or close to it with your gpa.

If you dont want to live in Alabama, dont go to Samford. Even if you did want to live there, you should retake for Alabama.
Samford wrote:65.5% of graduates were known to be employed in long-term, full-time legal jobs. This figure includes no school-funded jobs..
78.4% graduates were employed in long-term jobs.
77% graduates were employed in full-time jobs.

If you dont want to live in Georgia, dont go to Mercer. Even if you did want to live there, you should retake for Georgia/Emory.

71.5% graduates were employed in long-term jobs.

The stats are not terrible, but those schools wont get you far outside of their states. You need to get into Wake/UNC.

Those numbers are terrible for attending at sticker. Retaking is certainly the best decision.

Its obvious youd rather be a tarheel. Get a 160 and with that gpa youll be a lock. Get a 163+ and id say you're looking at $$. It can be done. Just study your ass off. And 24??? Seriously? If you were going to be 39 i might agree with you but you're still a child.

Thank you everyone for your replies. I think retaking the LSAT in October is my only option. Both schools have miserable job numbers and ARE NOT worth sticker
