Transferring after 1L

Is it realistic for me to think that transferring to a better law school will be a possibility once I am admitted to a laser tier school. I assume that I will do well the first year, but I have heard that it is not the same as undergraduate and transferring from law school to law school is actually quite difficult. Does anyone know anything about this form personal experience or other?

Don't attend a law school planning to transfer.

I don't know if law school is different in the laser tier but among the rest of the schools there is no way to just assume you'll get good grades

your probably right, just trying to make a point. I heard that the higher you are in your class the better chance you have at transferring successfully.

There is now a new UNS ranking: Laser level. It's like platinum, only deadlier.

bro, that is not realistic at all. its just plain stupid. u need to finish top 10-15% at the fucking least to crack a t14 (prob better assuming ur options which prob arent even T1). what is a lot easier then that is mastering the LSAT. and clearly, ur not happy with ur options... just retake

I currently a Media and Communications graduate student with a 3.5 GPA and will graduate in December. I scored a 170 on the LSAT. I really want to go to law school in New York but I think my GPA will prevent me. I have letters of recommendation from a U Chicago teaching graduate and a New York judge ( I am pursuing a third). I also have done volunteer work for a hospice. Any personal statement recommendations? Thank you for any help in advance...
Schools I am looking at:
Touro
Syracuse
New York Law
St. John's (Legacy)
Hofstra

Eek, just noticed ur options (& horrendous GPA)... i'm no NU expert here (so someone that is, feel free to correct me), but i think even if u retake for 173+ ur prob fucked cuz of ur UGPA. maybe u should reconsider the lawl school thing or potentially retake for 173+ and aim for super splitter friendly schools like NU, WUSTL (only if $$)
AND WTF, didn't u learn anything the first time about transferring. lol some people just don't learn
Edit: ull need WE for NU as well. best of luck though man i really hope u make it work...

Do these reasons involve a cross country road trip with your brother which included a stop off in Vegas?

How about going into 1L with the hopes of transferring, but being perfectly content at your 1L school if you have to stay all 3 years?

Me too!
(Seriously though dude, that's not how law school works. Everyone assumes they will do well, but in fact, only 10% are top 10%.)
