Is your home market in the midwest?

If not I'd go to BC, though if "same money" is 10k a year at each, the answer might be retake.

for east coast, definitely BC. but, what's your total cost of attendance?

For home market, WUSTL no question. For East Coast, and Big Law prospects in general, BC no question.

edit: based on common wisdom as well as LST numbers for this year and years past.

I had assumed that WUSTL > BC in your home market. If your sources are saying WUSTL = BC in your home market, then the choice is clear...

Looking at those, BC did better the last two years by 10 and 15% comparatively. Additionally, Wash U's biggest market is one that you aren't interested in while BC's is (I'm calling Massachusetts northeast, if you are for whatever reason against working in Boston that matters). It seems like Wash U probably holds a slight advantage in DC (perhaps because of the semester program they have there) but I don't think that slight advantage is enough to outweigh the 10+% less chance of having any sort of job that uses your law degree.

If BC = WUSTL in your home market, go BC for the greater Boston/NYC chances.

WUSTL is pretty horrible at placing at large law firms if you look at the NLJ250 list of go-to law schools. I would only go to WUSTL if you were set on staying in the area after graduation. BC is a more national name and places much better in the larger markets in the northeast.

BC is an easy choice unless you want to stay around WUSTL, in which case WUSTL is an easy choice. Either way, easy choice between these two.
