F'Ham Emory Dozo C'nell
NLJ 250 = 25%, 20% 15% 50%
% 160k = 45%, 30% 15% 50%
Most noticable is that Fordham reports 45% of students earning 145k while Cornell reports 55% earning 160k. this makes Fordham look very competitive. However, Fordham only places about 25% into the NLJ 250 which raises the question: how does 45% of the class then earn 145k? Emory is similr to Fordham in that there are more high income graduates than those who enter the NLJ 250.
Dozo would be free and give me a shot to land the same job if i place in the top 15% which is a risk that may be worth it for 180k+ interest after graduation. Emory offers a similar reward as Dozo and promises better wether and cost of living.
I am still waiting on Cornell, i'm not sure if it is worth 30k more than Fordham based on the above stats.

get into Cornell or retake. Fordham's the best option, but at that price, it's a bit to high.

Neither Fordham nor Emory is worth what you would be paying. Retake or go to 'Dozo.

Yup
And to answer your question, I'm sure 45% of Fordham's class is not making 145K or more, but 45% of those that reported salary.

Cornell. As between these other options it depends on where you want to work, what you want to do, and where you have ties. How much debt do you have already?

Small point: The correct NLJ250 figures for class of 2011 (latest available) are 20, 12, 12, 38, no?

This didn't seem right, so I thought I'd check.
Lawschooltransparency's numbers are wrong. Ignoring the fact that they don't have 2011 data available yet, comparing their results to the information publicly released by Fordham there are many inconsistencies (the first issue I spotted has LST producing better results than Fordham, so you can't claim false reporting by the school)

Note that this doesn't change the overall assessment, just something to keep in mind

Someone way douchier than me said that if you aren't top 15% at Dozo you wouldn't have been top 25% at Fordham and in both cases you're then SOL so it's better not to be $180k in debt.
While It is not my personal opinion, I found no flaw in that logic.

Yea i agree with Cardozo>Fordham, but what about Emory vs Dozo. The difference is 65k in tuition but then Atlanta is cheaper COL by about 20k over 3 years. I'm tempted to say that Emory might be worth 65k more than Cardozo (20k interest expense difference)
Cardozo COL = 18,000
Emory COL + tuition = 35,000 [12+23]
Dozo i would be 65k in debt (18*1.07+18*1.07+18*1.07)
Emory i would be 125k (35*1.08+35*1.08+35*1.08)

But, Fordham had nearly 15% earning between 145k and 160k according to LST in 2010.

I don't think I see this anywhere for 2010. Are you mixing up years?

Where does it say that?
go to Fordham's 2011 data.
http://law.fordham.edu/assets/CareerPla ... t_9mos.pdf
Every firm of 500+ will be paying scale. In smaller markets that might be $145k, but most Fordham grads work in NY, where it's $160k
Figure that most, if not all, 250+ firms pay Scale and that 100+ firms still pay 6 figures.
That means close to 26.5% are probably making $160k and that over 30% of the class are making at least 6 figures.
Once you include Federal clerkship, it's clear that you've got about a 1/3 shot of making 6 figures. That doesn't even take into account those who self-select into PI, government work, etc. (although that's hard to estimate)
Do your own analysis, don't rely on others
