Assuming no debt because parents are paying, Fordham at sticker or Brooklyn Law with a full scholarship and $5,000 living stipend?

Fordham if your parents are loaded and you don't feel bad about letting them pay. Otherwise, hey, free law school.

i was in same (exact) situation except my parents aren't chipping in. fordham gave me 5k a year after i asked... so if you're set on fordham, might as well do your parents a favor and try to save them 15k.

btw i chose bls.. but our situations are different

Brooklyn. Use the gift from your parents to invest in real estate.

This is actually a good idea -- have your parents buy you a condo near the school. When you're ready to move it on they can rent it out to other students.

If your parents can afford it and you have no scruples, go to Fordham.

I'll put it to ya this way. A mentor of sorts is general counsel for Am Ex. I was discussing schools with him and he didn't know BLS existed. Said he'd never rubbed elbows with a lawyer from there. He added that some of the best lawyers he knows went to Fordham.

Well if there's one thing that helps me make up my mind, it's second-hand anecdotal opinions from some guy on the internet.

You've posted absolute nonsense on two different boards.

Which one is it? He didn't know BLS existed? Or, he's never met anyone (that he knows of) that went there? Because it's quite possible, more than possible actually that he has in fact met someone from BLS but that it never came up. Newsflash: you don't go around with a badge displaying your law school on your jacket.

Knowing good lawyers from Fordham has nothing to do with whether OP should attend either school. I'm sure there's a lot of dumb, douchey lawyers from Fordham.

OP: You'll have no debt coming out of both schools (assuming your BLS scholarship has no stipulations about being in a certain class rank). This will open up a lot of doors for you post-graduation because you won't be constrained by debt and the fear of making enough money to make ends meet and have a decent life. Both schools are competitive and in saturated markets and both student bodies compete for the same jobs. Both schools do well, but Fordham statistically does better in terms of larger firms. But all that is normally contingent on how well you actually do in law school and not whether law school is free. If you haven't visited both schools and gotten a feel for the administration and the student body as a whole and had a chance to speak to faculty and current students you probably haven't given yourself a full picture of either school.

Fordham, assuming parents are wealthy enough to set 200K+ on fire and not bat an eyelash.

Are your parents looking to adopt?
